My statement of faith
- I believe in The deity of Jesus Christ and His virgin birth. Matt. 1:23, John 20:28
- I believe there is only one true God and He is manifest in three persons (the Trinity): the Father, the Word (Son), and the Holy Ghost. These three persons of the Godhead are without division of nature, essence, or being, and each has a distinct ministry in God's relationship with His creation. We believe God is a spiritual, sovereign, and personal being who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent by nature. He is the epitome of holiness, righteousness, wisdom, and power and is separate from and superior to His creation. Psa. 83:18, Psa. 139:14-15; Matt. 3:16-17, Matt. 28:19; 1 John 5:7.
- I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the eternal Word, and the only begotten Son of the Father. He became man through the virgin birth and will continue forever to be both God and man. I believe He gave Himself, as the perfect and sinless Lamb of God, to die upon the cross and shed His blood for the sins of mankind, suffering sin's full penalty of divine wrath in our place. He bodily arose from the dead never to die again and ascended into Heaven to be the great High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor for all those who believe on Him. Luke 1:35; John 1:1; 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Tim. 3:16.
- I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and not an impersonal force or power. He is the divine agent in God's revelation and redemption; He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, anoints, and comforts all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ. His will is to empower, guide, teach, and fill all believers who will surrender to Him. John 3:5, John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 16:13-14; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:13.
- The full inspiration and authority of God`s word. 2 Tim. 3:16. The Bible is God`s original and only infallible revelation of Himself and His saving activity for all people. Bible is without error, absolutely true, trustworthy and infallible. Jesus Christ Himself taught that Scripture is God`s inspired word to even the smallest detail; Matt. 5:18.
- To deny the full inspiration of holy scripture, therefore, is to set aside the fundamental witness of Jesus Christ. Luke 24:25-27,44,45; the Holy Spirit; John 15:26; 16:13; 1Cor. 2:12,13.
- The historicity of the fall of Adam. Rom 5:12-19 - The inherent corruption of man`s nature Gene. 6:5; 8:21; Rom 1:21-32; 3:10-18; 7:14,21
- Man`s lostness without Christ Jesus. Act 4:12; Romans 1:16-32; 10:13-15. - Salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, not of yourself, accomplished by His blood atonement on the cross. Romans 3:24,25; 5:10; Ephes. 2:8,9. 2Timothy 1:9
- Christ`s bodily resurrection Matt. 28:6; 1Cor. 15:3,4.
- The historical reality of miracles in both the OT and NT. 1Cor. 10:1
- The reality of satan and his angels as spiritual beings. Matt. 4:1; 8:28; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2; 6:11-18; 1Peter 5:8
- The Biblical teaching about heaven; John 14:2;
- and hell; Matt. 10:28; Matt. 25:41; 26:24; Luk 16:25; Luke 10:15; Heb.10:29; Matt. 23:15,33; 13:42,50 ; into outer darkness; Matt. 22:13; torment, agony and separation from heaven Luke 16:23.
The teaching of Paul is essentially the same; He speaks of separation from the presence and glory of the Lord, recompense and vengence; 2Thes. 1:5-9.
We always have to keep in mind that God sent His Son to die in order that no one should perish John 3:16. God does not desire to send any of His creation to hell 2Peter 3:9. Those who in the end go to hell do so because they have resisted God`s grace and rejected God`s provision of salvation. Romans 1:16 - 2:10.
- Christ literal return to earth. John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1Cor. 1:7; Rev. 19:11.
- I believe that King James Bible is infallible word of God.
